in other news, we painted some furniture for grayboy's room - i was originally going to go with orange and gray but ended up liking the green/brown a lot better. the green is a little lime-ier than i was thinking so i may re-paint the green bits but here's what we've done so far -

(i just noticed that this one is all weird and pixel-y, hmm)
we're going to use it as a changing table - the changing pad fits on it wonderfully.
and then a nightstand/mini-bookcase -

(also pixel-y...my pictures are generally not like that - must have had a weird setting in my export from lightroom. i will investigate)
i was going to post some images of some gifts we've gotten from our parents but i think i'll wait and re-export so i don't have all that weird pixel nonsense happening.
oh and you voters are mean!!! apparently grayboy is going to be late and huge. awesome.

Oh poor Grandma! No the twins weren't 10 lbs each; They weighed a combined total of 16 lbs. She was over 40 yrs old and 5 ft tall.
Ginny, you need to "weigh" in on this issue; I remember your girls were in the 10 lb range. my Great-aunt Louise had a 13 pounder but that's going back quite away.
Don't worry, just eat sensibly and all will be fine.
PS nice furniture colors!
A boy...wonderful! I thought I would add my insight on bringing home a big baby. Emily was nine and a half pounds, and slept through the night from her first night home. I've often heard that bigger babies generally sleep better. So there's one reason to hope big!
heh, good point. i have read that bigger babies can eat more, and therefore stay full longer, and therefore sleep longer without waking up hungry.
i suppose delivering a big baby is worth being able to sleep for more than an hour at a time.
My Jake was 8lbs 8.5oz and he was sleeping through the night by 3 weeks and before that he would only wake up once.
How big was Nate?
i believe nate was 7 lbs 4 oz? and did not sleep very well (still doesn't). :)
